Author Guidelines

MIRACLE Journal of Public Health (MJPH) accepts manuscripts of health-related research articles that have not been processed by other journal managers for publication. Manuscript articles can be in Indonesian or English. Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal template in the form of files in MS Word format that can be sent or submitted to the MJPH editor by following the submission steps in the Online Submission Guidelines. Submitting manuscripts using the Online Submission System on the MJPH E-Journal portal http://journal.fikes.umw.ac.id/index.php/mjph/ after registering as an Author in the Register section. Article writing must follow the guidelines below:

  1. Manuscript articles are typed on A4 paper, with 2.5 cm margins on each side. Typeface Time News Roman with font size 12 and spacing according to the Journal Template. The maximum number of pages per journal is 15 pages. Each page is numbered in the lower right corner.
  2. Article components include title, abstract (Indonesian and English), keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions and suggestions, Acknowledgment, bibliography, and attachments (research results table).
  3. Subtitles: writing subtitles in the article's contents, namely introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions and suggestions, Acknowledgment, bibliography, and attachments without being numbered or letters in alphabetical order in Arabic numeral format. Sub-titles are written in bold letters and arranged left-aligned without underlining with font size 12. Sub-titles are written in bold letters with capital letters only at the beginning of the word and arranged left-aligned.
  4. Title Page: The article's title is written briefly, clearly, and informatively, with a maximum of 12 words, followed by the author's name without title, email address, and author's cellphone number, along with the author's affiliation/institution. Titles should be written using capital letters only at the beginning of the word, and English titles should use italics (italics). The title should be written centered.
  5. Abstract: The abstract is written concisely and clearly and includes the introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions of the research. Abstracts are equipped with 3-5 keywords. Write an abstract of no more than 200 words using the Time News Roman typeface, font size 11, and spacing 1. Abstract content: introduction (1-2 sentences), research objectives (1 sentence), materials and methods (3-5 sentences), conclusion (1-2 sentences), written in 1 paragraph. Writing English abstracts uses italics (italics).
  6. Keywords: Keywords are selected based on the words that most frequently appear in the manuscript, which represent the contents of the manuscript. When writing keywords, use 3-5 words, using capital letters only at the beginning of the first keyword, not ending with a period.
  7. Introduction: The introduction discusses the background relevant to the research objectives. The background of the problem is described based on data and comes from the results of previous research. The research objective must be stated clearly at the end of the paragraph.
  8. Materials and Methods: Methodology must be written clearly about the methods used, population and samples used, sampling techniques, data analysis, statistical tests, and research procedures used.
  9. Results and discussion: Results contain findings in the form of data obtained from research. Results are presented in tables or graphs accompanied by a narrative. Data obtained from research using appropriate analytical methods must be explained in this section. The discussion is carried out by comparing the findings from the research with theory/library and other research within the scope of the research. The research results obtained answered the problems and objectives of the research.
  10. Conclusions and Suggestions: Conclusions are adjusted to the research objectives; suggestions contain the researcher's recommendations regarding variables that are important for further research for the reader. Conclusions and suggestions are each made into one paragraph.
  11. Acknowledgments: If necessary, display this section to thank parties who provided contributions or funds for research.
  12. Bibliography: The Bibliography is written according to Vancouver writing rules using reference writing applications such as Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, and others. The bibliography display in the bibliography list is arranged based on the sequence of numbers that appear in the manuscript's text.  All literature used should have been published within the last 10 years. As much as 80% of the literature is articles in scientific journals.
